Kentucky Derby In Style At The Mystic Downtown Spring Stroll

There’s something truly magical about springtime in Mystic, and this past weekend proved it yet again. I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Mystic Downtown Spring Stroll 2025, a signature event organized by the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce. The entire downtown came to life with flower bouquet stations, sweet treats, live music, and local shops opening their doors with themed specials. But the highlight for me? Let’s talk about hats.

Every year, Adore.World hosts a Kentucky Derby Hat Contest during the stroll, and this time I decided to go all in—designing and wearing my very own custom hat. To my surprise (and total delight), my hat won the main prize! It was such a joyful moment and one that I won’t forget any time soon.

But that wasn’t the only place bursting with Derby vibes. I made my way to Pearl Provisions and Tipples where a wedding party had taken over, each guest dressed to the nines in their finest Derby attire. It felt like we were all part of a scene from a vibrant Southern garden party, right in the heart of downtown Mystic.

To round it all out, Bank & Bridge Brewing had live music performances that echoed through the streets, pulling visitors into the full spirit of spring and community.

From beginning to end, the Spring Stroll was filled with joy, color, and connection. These are the kinds of events that make Mystic more than just a summer destination. It’s a place that thrives year-round with heart, style, and a whole lot of fun.
