On April 6th, Port of Call in Mystic transformed into a dazzling celebration of performance, pride, and pure joy—all in honor of the beloved Chef Renee Touponce’s birthday. ✨ And guess who was hired to document all of this? That’s right! Yours truly. 😌

But this wasn’t just any birthday bash. This was a Drag-Raiser—a high-energy, high-glam fundraiser with $25 from each ticket supporting QPlusCT, a nonprofit organization that uplifts LGBTQIA+ youth across the state. Talk about turning a party into purpose. 💖

The restaurant turned to stage and was rightfully claimed by the stunning Sea Queens, who did not disappoint. Dro Lopez-Fierce, Angel Rivers, Sapphire Bills, Angelina Fiercé, and Xiomarie La’Beija brought diva realness through every era of pop. From powerful ballads to iconic dance hits, each performance had the crowd on their feet, cheering, singing, and living for every sequin and split. 👑💃

On the turntables, DJ Edgewood curated the perfect vibe, blending high-energy beats and throwback anthems that kept the momentum going all night long. The venue itself radiated warmth and celebration, filled with friends, community supporters, and some of the fiercest drag fans Mystic has ever seen.
