On Sunday, June 1, 2025, Mystic, Connecticut, transformed into a vibrant celebration of 1970s flair as Taquerio hosted the much-anticipated Mrs. Roper Romp. Inspired by the iconic character from Three’s Company, the event invited attendees to don their most flamboyant caftans, bold beads, and curly wigs, channeling the unforgettable Mrs. Roper.

The festivities kicked off at noon and continued until 9 PM, offering a full day of retro-themed fun. Highlights included a disco dance party that had everyone grooving, a limbo contest challenging participants to “go low,” and the cheeky “Pin the Kiss on Stanley” game. Taquerio’s mixologists added to the ambiance with themed cocktails that perfectly complemented the day’s nostalgic vibe.

This event is part of a broader trend of Mrs. Roper Romps occurring across the country, celebrating the beloved TV character and the era she represents. These gatherings have become a way for fans to connect, dance, and relive the joy of the 70s.

As we embrace the summer season, events like the Mrs. Roper Romp remind us of the joy found in community, nostalgia, and a good dance party. Stay tuned for more themed events at Taquerio and around Mystic as the town continues to celebrate in style.
