On Wednesday, April 10th, I had the pleasure of attending The Wallasey’s Open House in Mystic—and let me tell you, this place is a total dream. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warmth, elegance, and that kind of effortless charm you only get from a space curated with heart and purpose.

Our lovely host Martine welcomed guests into her stunning waterfront home with grace and hospitality. Every room reflected her thoughtful touch—you could genuinely feel her energy woven into every detail. She was joined by her daughter-in-law Allison and the incredible Chef Shawn Little from Cheffing It Up, who kept everyone smiling (and full!) with delicious hors d’oeuvres all evening.

The event was hosted in collaboration with the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce and brought out a wonderful mix of local business owners, neighbors, artists, and even members from the Town of Groton’s Zoning Board. It was one of those nights where community, conversation, and celebration all aligned perfectly.
For those unfamiliar, The Wallasey is Mystic’s newest luxury waterfront rental—perfect for wedding parties, family reunions, or elegant overnight stays. It’s equal parts cozy and sophisticated, with the kind of peaceful views and ambiance that make you want to move right in.

Huge thanks to Martine, the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce, Chef Shawn Little, to Allison for making sure everyone had a drink in their hands, and to everyone involved for making the evening so special. Mystic just keeps getting better—and I’m lucky to be here to witness and share it.
